Day 1 - Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Covering a 120 km distance in a 2 to 3-hour drive, after breakfast, we'll collect you from your lodge in Arusha and journey towards Tarangire National Park. The road passes through Arusha town, allowing for any last-minute shopping. Tarangire National Park is renowned for its significant elephant population and immense baobab trees. The park is home to around 6,000 elephants, 2,500 wildebeests, and 3,000 zebras. These diverse animals move around the Tarangire Lake Manyara ecosystem. The park's main water sources, Tarangire River and Lake Burunge Dam, support a wide variety of wildlife, especially during dry periods. Expect to see lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and rare species such as the Great kudu, Oryx, and the Ash stalling. Bird lovers will be delighted as the park houses over 400 bird species, including ostriches, herons, Cori bastards, secretary birds, and numerous water birds. Lunch will be provided within the park. Later, we'll drive to Migombani Campsite near Lake Manyara for an overnight stay, inclusive of all meals.

Day 2 - Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha
Covering a 220 km distance with a non-game viewing time of 2 to 2:30 hours, we'll enjoy an early breakfast before making our way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descending over 600 meters to the crater floor, the game drive in Ngorongoro, often called the 8th wonder of the world, offers a remarkable experience supported by an annual water supply and plentiful food for wildlife. The crater is home to a wide range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, buffalo, eland, zebra, warthog, hippo, African elephant, and the rare black rhino. It's also a habitat for numerous predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and the elusive leopard. The drive includes a visit to Lake Magadi, an alkaline lake in the southwest corner that attracts flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. Later in the afternoon, we'll return to Arusha for dinner and overnight accommodation or a drop-off at the airport (additional accommodation in Arusha can be arranged upon request for an extra fee).
