2 Day Group Join Safari detailed itinerary
Day 1: Giants of the Savannah - Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins early in the morning as we depart from Arusha, heading towards the magnificent Tarangire National Park. Famed for its colossal baobab trees that dot the landscape, Tarangire offers a truly unique and picturesque safari experience. As we traverse the park's vast plains, you'll be greeted by an incredible spectacle of wildlife. Tarangire is home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, and you'll have the chance to witness these gentle giants up close as they roam freely.
Keep your cameras ready for sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a diverse array of plains animals like zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes. Bird enthusiasts will be in paradise, with over 550 species of birds recorded in the park, from the vibrant Fischer's lovebird to the majestic martial eagle.
Your knowledgeable and experienced safari guide will share fascinating insights into the park's ecosystem and animal behaviours, ensuring a rich and educational experience. We'll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch amidst the bush, surrounded by the sounds and sights of the wild.
As the sun begins to set, we'll head to our comfortable accommodation just outside the park, where you can relax, enjoy a hearty dinner, and recount the day's incredible sightings with your fellow adventurers.
Day 2: The Eighth Wonder of the World - Ngorongoro Crater
On the second day, we set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Often referred to as "Africa's Eden," a collapsed volcano formed this natural amphitheatre and now shelters an astounding concentration of wildlife within its 600-meter-high walls.
Descending into the crater floor is like entering a lost world. The compact area is a haven for the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), and your chances of spotting them are exceptionally high. This is one of the best places in the world to see the critically endangered black rhinoceros. We'll spend the day exploring the diverse habitats within the crater, from the open grasslands to the soda lake, which attracts flamingos and hippos.
Our game drive continues as we navigate the crater floor, offering unparalleled photo opportunities and close encounters with a vast array of species. Your expert guide will lead you to the best vantage points and share compelling stories about the crater's formation and its unique ecosystem. After a thrilling day of exploration, we'll begin our journey back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening with a camera roll full of memories and a heart full of wonder.
